I am 4 and a half months pregnant and have suffered mild panic attacks at night in bed over the last couple of weeks but have been able to go back to sleep however, last night I suffered an awful one and had to get out of bed and go downstairs for 4 hours I was very frightened. I know it’s anxiety based can I take anything for this? I got some rescue remedy type drops in health shop and was told these would be ok to take – does anyone know if this is true?

I would not take any herbal remedy unless it has been ok’ed by your Ob-Gyn. I had panic attacks in the first trimester and my Dr. prescribed me Ambien to help me sleep at night. It worked wonders and is safe for baby. I am sorry you are going through this. Your best bet, and the safest one, is to talk to your Dr. about what you are experiencing so they may prescribe something. Good luck.
